Speedy's Audio Repair No. 58 November 2008
A little bit of a London Jazz Festival Special this month, although there's plenty of soul too from Alice Russell, Bridgette Amofah, & Kendra Lou and the Miracles. There's hip hop flavour too from Taggy Matcher and John Robinson, plus a little latin joint from The Greenwood Rhythm Coalition, but mostly it's all about the jazz this month! Oldies from Jeff Resnick, Jon Lucien, Richard Evans and Linda Tillery are joined by new cuts from Nicola Conte, Auteur Jazz and Nostalgia 77 (featuring Julie & Keith Tippett!!). We finish off though with a couple of obscure library style jazz cuts from a Modern Jazz Elementary 'teach yourself to dance jazz' record that bears more than a passing similarity to 'Theme de yo Yo', and a jazz improvisation library cut called 'Mr. Super Hip' which is just that! Enjoy loves!!
